Think on – Banksy in ruined Gaza

Street artist Banksy has returned to Palestine, this time to create a series of new works in Gaza.

 

Included in his works is a piece resembling Rodin’s sculpture The Thinker, but with his hands covering his face in despair. An Israeli watchtower turns into a fairground ride with young Palestinian children swinging round it, and a large muriel of a kitten playing with a ball of metal completes the series.

In a powerful video he recorded, Banksy also leaves a prominent message that says “If we wash our hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless we side with the powerful – we don’t remain neutral.”
