Kairos Britain is a network of individuals, organisations and faith communities formed in response to the Kairos Palestine document, ‘A moment of truth’. The network continues the work of the Christians who met on Iona in May 2012 and issued the Iona call to the Christian communities in Britain.
- We seek a just and lasting peace in the region based on the realisation of full human and political rights for all.
- We call for an end to oppression and injustice.
- We realise the urgency of the situation and stress that the time to act is NOW.
The network is linked to the global Kairos movement.

Structure of Kairos Britain: Update as of April 2017:
Until recently, Kairos Britain has been administered by the Amos Trust, and structured with a small management group that represented some of the significant partners in the network. It also worked closely with a wider group of individuals called the Kairos Britain Forum, who were an informal group set up to help advise and steer the network.
In 2016 the Amos Trust announced that it would continue to support Kairos Britain and be part of the network, but wanted to hand over/relinquish the administrative responsibility, to enable the network to grow better and be able to fundraise for itself more efficiently.
The process of looking at alternative structures began in 2016, during which the idea of a merger with Friends of Sabeel UK emerged. It was considered a favourable for several reasons, not least the the work of each complimented the other, and that there was considerable overlap in the audience. Following this, legal advice was sought.
In the early part of 2017 the management committee of Kairos Britain and the Trustees of Friends of Sabeel UK voted in favour of merging the two entities. The merger had the support of both Kairos Palestine and Sabeel Jerusalem. You can read the full details of the merger here
It is likely to take some time for all of the processes, activities and practical details to come together. Please bear with us during this time, but be reassured that our efforts to advocate on behalf of, and stand in solidarity with the Palestinian Church continue with passion, commitment and determination.
The new structure for Sabeel UK-Kairos Britain (name to be confirmed) is as follows:
Trustee board – with representatives from both FOSUK and Kairos Britain
Director: Revd Mark Battison
Advocacy Worker: Charlotte Marshall
Administrator: Alison White
